Kids & Youth

Children aren’t the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. We want to see them grow and fall in love with Jesus feeling confident to bless their community, praying for each other and their world.

Babies and Toddlers:

Parents are welcome to bring their little ones into the main service; however, we also have a Creche available. It’s a room full of toys where parents and carers can be with their children whilst they relax and engage with others and watch the talk over the live stream.

 Children:

If you’re new and your children have never been involved with Vineyard Kids before, we would love you to join in with us this Sunday! Our kids sign in at the Connect Desk when they arrive and then head out to their separate space. The groups of all ages worship and play together, then separate out into age related teaching:

Saplings is for children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1. They enjoy games, crafts and activities in a programme that engages them in God’s Story for their lives.

Branches is for children in school years 2-3 . Each week they welcome the Holy Spirit and each other sharing time together around a Bible story or topic. They may sing, pray, play games, and make things all of which is designed to help them experience God’s presence and discover what it means to be God’s precious child.

Vine is for children in school years 4-6. They love to play energetic games, and discuss Biblical themes. Here we take all they have learned and experienced in their early years to a whole new level!

Worship in Vineyard Kids

We love to encourage our children in worship, and we do this through live singing and on-screen videos. It really helps them engage if they’re familiar with the songs, so we’ve created a Spotify playlist for you to listen along to with your children.

Rooted is our youth group, for teenagers in secondary school. It’s a great supportive place where they can ask questions, deepen their faith all whilst having fun. We encourage the youth to join in with the main worship, then head out to their group straight after. (Don’t forget to sign-in at the Connect Desk first!).

Rooted also have monthly socials, details of which can be found on our What’s On Page. It’s at this age that we also start to encourage them to become young leaders in kids church, or serve on other teams that interest them.

If you have any questions about Vineyard Kids or Rooted, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us via our Contact Form – we’d love to hear from you!
